Selank

TP-7

Selank is the one for the anxiety you're managing with wine and a full calendar. It modulates GABA, serotonin, and dopamine without the sedation or dependence of benzos — no foggy days, no withdrawal timeline. About 40% of people in trials responded within 1-3 days, the other 60% needed around two weeks. It's a nasal spray, not an injection, which makes the barrier to entry low. The clinical data is surprisingly robust — double-blind, placebo-controlled, HAM-A scores dropping by half — the catch is it's all from Russian institutions with no Western replication yet.

Protocol

Effects

• Cognitive clarity (60%) — Improved focus and mental clarity without stimulation — more like clearing brain fog than adding horsepower
• Mood stabilization (55%) — Evens out emotional reactivity without flattening affect. People describe feeling more resilient, not numb.
• Stress resilience (45%) — Better handling of acute stressors. The thing that would normally spiral you doesn't hit as hard.

Side Effects

• Fatigue (8%) — You might get sleepy the first few days while the GABA effects settle in. Your brain's recalibrating, not shutting down.
• Nasal irritation (12%) — Mild nose irritation from the spray. Standard nasal spray stuff, nothing unusual.
• Headache (5%) — Mild headache early on. Usually gone by day three.

Evidence

Emerging evidence — Russian clinical trials in GAD patients showed Hamilton Anxiety scores dropping from 20.3 to 7.0 in rapid responders. Double-blind, placebo-controlled data exists but it's all from Russian institutions — no Western replication yet. No addiction potential detected, which is a genuinely big deal for an anxiolytic.

Approval status: Approved in Russia as nasal spray. Not FDA-approved.

Storage

• Lyophilized: Refrigerate at 2-8C for short-term. Freezer (-20C) for long-term. Stable 2+ years frozen.
• Reconstituted: Refrigerate immediately. Use within 14-21 days. Never freeze reconstituted solution.
• Water: Bacteriostatic water for SubQ. Nasal spray formulations use preserved saline.
• Needle: 30-31 gauge, 0.5 inch for SubQ. Most people just use the nasal spray though.
