4 questions about side effects.
Nausea hits up to 44% of people on GLP-1s and it's the number one reason people quit. Here's what actually works: eat smaller meals (your stomach's emptying slower now), avoid greasy food during titration, stay hydrated, and go slow on the dose increases — there's no award for reaching max dose fast. Ginger tea and peppermint genuinely help. The nausea almost always fades after 2-4 weeks at each dose level. If it doesn't, drop down a step or ask your prescriber about extending the titration. Powering through isn't a flex.
Depends entirely on what you're running. GLP-1s (semaglutide, tirzepatide): nausea (37%), fatigue (17%), vomiting (16%), constipation (15%), diarrhea (13%). GH secretagogues (CJC/Ipa): water retention, tingly hands, vivid dreams. BPC-157: almost nothing — occasional redness at the injection site. Selank/Semax: mild nasal irritation if you're using the spray. The pattern: GI-acting peptides cause GI side effects, GH peptides cause water retention, and most everything else is remarkably well-tolerated.
People report it helps. The logic makes sense — BPC-157 is a gastric peptide that protects gut lining, and GLP-1 nausea is a gut problem. Some clinics prescribe oral BPC-157 alongside sema or tirz specifically for this reason. But there are zero human trials on this specific combo. If you want to try it, oral BPC-157 (500-1000 mcg) is the route that makes sense since the target is the gut. No controlled data, just a lot of consistent anecdotes from practitioners and patients.
A little redness, a small bump, or mild itching after injecting is normal. It usually goes away within a few hours. Rotate your injection sites (don't hit the same spot back to back), let the alcohol dry completely before you inject, push the plunger slowly over 5-10 seconds, and make sure the needle's going deep enough. If you see redness that's spreading, the area feels warm or hard, or it's still there after 24 hours — that could be an infection and you need to see a doctor. Lumps that don't go away (lipodystrophy) happen from hitting the same spot too many times. Just rotate.
